National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya (An Institute of
National Importance) invites applications in prescribed format for
appointment on permanent/ contract basis for Faculty posts (Assistant
Professor) in the Department of Mathematics. The last date for
submission of application is 17th October 2014.

Qualification & Experience:
Assistant Professor -> Ph.D. with 1st Class at UG & PG levels + 3 years after Ph.D. or 6 years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) after obtaining M. Tech. degree in an institution of repute or an equivalent position in a R&D laboratory or relevant industry.
Asst. Professor (On Contract) (AGP: 7000/-) -> Ph. D. with 1st Class at UG & PG levels + One Year Experience.
Asst. Professor (On Contract) (AGP: 6000/-) -> Ph. D. with 1st Class at UG & PG levels.
Application Fee: A Non-refundable fee of Rs.500/-(Rs.250/- only for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the form of Demand Draft only drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya, payable at Shillong. Applicant must write his / her name, address and the post applied for on the back side of the bank draft.

The filled-in application form should be addressed to the "Registrar (i/c), National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, Bijni Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong-793003", in an envelope superscribing "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF Department of Mathematics".
